As expected, Funny People was the winner at the box office this weekend. The Judd Apatow film with a star studded cast beat out the competition, but also underperforming from his other two films and may be the one that grosses less. Maybe finally Apatow will stop putting his name on everything. Probably not.

Ugly Truth and Proposal still hold strong, and still proves that women do not care about the feminist movement.

Transformers is almost off the top ten, but is even closer to the 400 million boom. Once again, shame on you America for letting Michael Bay make money.

On the bright side, The Hangover is still raking in the dough and hopefully that leads to more non-Judd Apatow good R-rated comedies. As long as they don't have Katherine Heigl, but she's too feminist to do such low roles...wait...

Anyway, that's the box office jargon I've got for you this week. This looks a lot harder than I thought it would.

NEW RELEASES AUGUST 7TH: GI Joe Rise of the Cobra (guaranteed to ruin everyone's childhood), Julie and Julia (I want to see this, but don't tell my guy friends that), Shorts (...ugh), and A Perfect Getaway (...who?).

Until next week...something witty.
